This year’s SGIE (State of Global Islamic Economy) 2022 report estimates that Muslims worldwide spent US$2 trillion in 2021 on food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, modest fashion, travel, and media. This spending reflects 8.9 percent year-on-year growth and is forecasted to reach US$2.8 trillion by 2025 at a cumulative annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.5 percent. Islamic finance assets are estimated to have reached US$3.6 trillion in 2022 and are expected to reach US$ 4.9 trillion by 2025. This shows that the Islamic economy is increasing and has more prospects in the future. Therefore, development is needed in the fields of Islamic economics such as aspects of Islamic finance, Islamic business, and Islamic economics.

The International Collaboration Conference on Islamic Economics (ICCEIS) brings together authors who bring forward innovative ideas, visions, and dreams of solutions in Islamic economics, business, and finance disciplines. Qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods research studies from university scholars and researchers are accepted. The theme for ICCEIS 2023 will be "Building Synergy between Halal Sector and the Islamic Financial Industry in the Disruption Era: Opportunity and Challenges".

ICCEIS 2023 will be held at Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia on August, 09-10, 2023 (Hybrid). Opening Speaker at this international conference is Prof. Dr. Nur Hasan, M.Kes., As Rector from Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Also present were extraordinary speakers from various countries, namely:
