Abstract

The issue in this research is the low interest in using the Pospay e-payment system, which is due to consumer complaints about account blocks and sudden system logouts, making consumers uncomfortable using the pospay application. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of trust, perceived security, and operational risk on the interest in using the pospay e-payment system. This study uses a quantitative research approach. Data collection techniques involved the use of questionnaires. The population in this research consists of 744 users of the pospay application at the Padang Panjang Pos Office. The sampling technique employed purposive sampling and the Slovin formula, resulting in a sample of 88 respondents. This research used the IBM Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPPS) version 29. The result of the study indicate that the trust variabel (X1)has a negative and significant effect on the interest in using the pospay e-payment system, perceived security (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the interest in using the pospay e-payment system, and operational risk (X3) has a positive and significant effect on the interest in using the pospay e-payment system. The F-tes result demonstrate that trust (X1), perceived security (X2), and operational risk (X3) collectively (simultaneously) have an influence on the interest in using the pospay e-payment system at the Padang Panjang Pos Office.
